Mombasa is the second-largest city in Kenya. Lying next to the Indian Ocean, it has a major port and an international airport. Mombasa is the centre of coastal tourism in Kenya. Mombasa Island itself is not a main attraction, although many people visit the Old Town and Fort Jesus. The Nyali, Kenyatta, Bamburi, and Shanzu beaches are located north of the city. The Shelly, Tiwi, and Diani beaches are located south of Mombasa. Several luxury hotels exist on these beaches, while the less expensive hotels are located further away. Mombasa's northern shoreline is renowned for its vibrant 24-hour entertainment offers, including family entertainment, sports, culinary offers and night life. Diani Beach: is located some 36 km (22 mi) south of Mombasa city on the mainland coast and is a prime resort for many local and international tourists. Diani Beach has an airport at Ukunda town to cater for tourists who fly there directly from Nairobi Wilson or any other airports and airfields in the country of Kenya.
Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 11,747 square kilometres. The park is divided into east and west sections by the A109 road and a railway. Most of the park consists of semi-arid grasslands and savanna. It is considered one of the world's biodiversity strongholds, and its popularity is mostly due to the vast amounts of diverse wildlife that can be seen, including the famous 'big five' consisting of masai lion, black rhino, cape buffalo, elephant and leopard. The park also is also home to a great variety of bird life such as the black kite, crowned crane, lovebird and the sacred ibis.
The slightly larger Tsavo East is generally flat, with dry plains across which the Galana River flows. Other features include the Yatta Plateau and Lugard Falls. Tsavo West National Park is more mountainous and wetter than its counterpart, with swamps, Lake Jipe and the Mzima Springs. It is known for birdlife and for its large mammals. It is also home to a black rhino sanctuary.

Watamu Marine National Park and Reserve is located in Kenya. Established in 1968, it was one of Kenya's first marine parks. It is located about 90 miles (140 km) north of Mombasa. Its coral gardens are merely 300 metres (980 ft) from the shore and are home to approximately 600 species of fish, 110 species of stony coral and countless invertebrates, crustaceans and mollusks. Water temperature varies from 20 degrees Celsius (June to November) to 30 degrees Celsius (December to May). The park was designated as a Biosphere in 1979. The shoreline in the area features white sand beaches and offshore coral formations arranged in three bays: Watamu Bay, Blue Lagoon and Turtle Bay. They are protected as part of the Watamu Marine National Park. The Marine Park is considered one of the best snorkelling and diving areas on the coast of East Africa. The name "Watamu" means "sweet people" in Swahili. The name came from the fact that Arab slave traders used to distribute sweets to entice the local population before taking them as slaves.

Nairobi
is the capital and largest city in Kenya and has the nickname of “Safari
Capital of the World”. The city itself
is not a tourist destination, but the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is
the largest airport in East Africa and many tourists will arrive in Kenya at
this airport, before they depart for their safari to the Masai Mara, Amboseli
or to neighbouring Tanzania. African
Bundu Safaris has selected a number of world-class hotels and establishments in
Nairobi for their clients to enjoy safe, clean and enjoyable overnight
accommodation before or after travelling through Nairobi. The smaller Wilson Airport is used by many of
the light aircraft for flights to the wildlife National Parks. The Nairobi National Park is unique as being
the only game reserve to border a capital city and if time permits, you can
view lions, giraffes and black rhinos amongst the wildlife. Contact us at African Bundu Safaris for your next safari holiday to Kenya.

The Amboseli National Park is the second most popular National Park in Kenya and is located 140 kms from Nairobi City. There is a daily flight to/from Amboseli Airport, where tourists can enjoy a wildlife safari, especially known to get close to the free-ranging elephants and the spectacular views of nearby Mount Kilimanjaro mountain in Tanzania. There are a number of wildlife safari lodges to choose from, some inside the actual boundaries of the Amboseli National Park and others are located nearby – and tourists can also enjoy interacting with the local Masai tribal residents. We have a nice selection of safari lodges to offer our clients when booking a wildlife safaris with African Bundu Safaris.

The world famous, Masai Mara game reserve, bordering Tanzania. A wildlife holiday to Africa and Kenya MUST include a few nights at one of the great safari lodges that African Bundu Safaris books their clients into. We offer a variety of wildlife lodges, some located inside the Masai Mara Game Reserve and others located in concession areas or Game Management Areas surrounding the actual Maasai Mara National Park, however, the park is unfenced and so the wildlife can roam freely throughout the Masai Mara area. This fantastic game-viewing area is famous for the annual migration of millions of zebra and wildebeest who spend all year travelling in and around the Masai Mara area of Kenya and the Serengeti area of Tanzania. They spend a few months in the Mara of Kenya, after crossing the Mara river (which one sees so often on Wildlife documentaries films), before they return to Tanzania and spend the remainder of the year in the Serengeti - migrating and grazing down to the southern Serengeti, near Ngorongoro Crater, before heading to western Serengeti and then crossing the Grumeti and Mara Rivers back into Kenya. Contact us to plan a wonderful wildlife safari to Kenya and Tanzania to witness and photograph this memorable mass-migration of animals in East Africa.
