African Bundu Safaris is an International Tour Operator for Southern and East Africa. We plan, organise & book safaris, holidays and vacations for Tourists who in the majority are wanting to photograph, see and experience the fantastic wildlife and awesome scenery that we in Africa are so blessed to live amongst. We book accommodation in safari lodges, hotels, guest lodges, bed & breakfast establishments in wildlife areas, scenic routes and in towns & cities from Cape Town in South Africa, all the way up to Nairobi in Kenya. We have a FREE booking service. We do not charge an admin fee.
African Bundu Safaris is based in the small village of Clarens, in sunny South Africa. The owner/manager is Dean Foster, who has travelled around Southern & East Africa since the 1970’s, starting when he was a teenager. When Dean founded African Bundu Safaris in 1996, he spent the first 6 years as a Tour Guide, gaining valuable first-hand experience and knowledge of all the Southern Africa countries whilst guiding tourists to the various countries. At the end of 2001, Dean packed his Guiding suitcase away and changed his role as Manager and trip planner for African Bundu Safaris. Since 2001, he has been on countless “Educational Trips” to visit many of the lodges and areas that he was either invited to by various lodges and companies or to areas that he saw great potential for his regular clients to go explore and enjoy.
Also working in the office is the much valued Administrator - Niki, for the numerous websites and documents on the various establishments. Niki started working for African Bundu Safaris in 2011.
In 2011, we combined our numerous Accommodation websites – namely Accommodation in Africa, Accommodation in Botswana, Accommodation in Namibia, Accommodation in Zambia, Accommodation in Tanzania, Accommodation in Mozambique, Accommodation in Kenya, Accommodation in Zimbabwe and Sabi-Sands & Kruger Park, into one large website, www.africanbundusafaris.co.za where we have the vast majority of the safari lodges, hotels and guesthouses listed that we book our clients into.
We do NOT mark up the public prices of the various establishments and we have NO booking fee to plan the safari holidays. There are a number of Internet Tourism websites that charge lodges to advertise on their website and then announce on their website that it is cheaper to book direct with each establishment. This is FALSE. All the establishments we have listed and book clients into, include a commission inside their public rates and that is our only income. We charge all our clients the normal public rates, unless there is a SPECIAL, then we charge the discounted rate. By using the services of a professional Tour Operator like African Bundu Safaris, you have the personal experience and knowledge of an African Company. You will have all the planning from the moment you land on African soil until you return home taken care of – and this includes all the transport and transfers from one area to the next, all accommodation and safaris – and you only need to make one payment to African Bundu Safaris who shall then pay all the various service providers. If a tourist was to make all the travel arrangements and accommodation bookings directly; they will often have to make 5 to 10 international money transfers and incur banking charges for each one; they will also not have a realistic idea of the travelling times from one destination to the next (which Dean witnessed so often when he was a Guide, with other tourists arriving at a safari lodge in the dark as either they or an inexperienced tourism company had not planned correctly.)
African Bundu Safaris wants all their clients to have a fantastic holiday as they tell their friends and colleagues about their trip and this accounts for why we get more referred tourists booking trips with us, than brand new clients who have surfed the internet and chosen us out of the thousands of website companies to choose from! Visit our Guestbook to read unedited comments from our past clients.
