Tanzania safari holidays are famous for exploring the Serengeti Plains in an open-roof 4x4 to enjoy the mass migration of millions of wildebeest and then the wonderful wildlife spectacular inside the Ngorongoro Crater . Whilst of safari in the north of Tanzania, most of our clients will also enjoy a few nights exploring Lake Manyara with the famous tree-climbing lions and the large elephant herds inside the Tarangire National Park. It is best to start your safari from Mount Kilimanjaro International Airport , and after the wildlife safari with your experienced Guide, you can fly to the Selous game reserve or to Zanzibar Island for a beach holiday.
If you want to avoid the larger wildlife lodges and the Serengeti Plains, then heading south to the Selous National Park or Ruaha Game Reserve is a must. The Selous is twice the size of Denmark and Switzerland! There is a daily flight from Arusha and Dar es Salaam to the Selous where you can have a fabulous wildlife safari at one of few safari lodges – possibly choose one located on the banks of the Rufiji River.

World Famous Kruger Park and the surrounding private safari wildlife reserves such as Sabi Sands, Timbavati, Ngala and Thornybush
Any holiday to South Africa is not complete without a wildlife safari to the Sabi Sands, which is part of the Greater Kruger National Park. The most famous of the Sabi Sands wildlife reserve lodges include MalaMala, Sabi Sabi, Singita, Londolozi and Kirkmans Kamp.
Getting to the Sabi Sands Reserve or other fabulous lodges in the Timbavati, Ngala or Thornybush reserves involves either a 5 to 7 hour road journey from Johannesburg or a 70 to 80 minute flight from Johannesburg’s international airport. Once at the private lodges, a Ranger drives you around in a rugged 4x4 vehicle and at most lodges includes being able to drive off-road into the bush to get very close to lions, leopards, cheetahs and buffalo – unlike in the large public Kruger National Park, where you can selfdrive around but have to remain on the roads at all times and ‘fight for a space’ amongst dozens of other vehicles to get a view of lions, leopards or elephants. We also offer safaris, with professional Tour Guides, to take you on one of the safaris into Kruger Park – some are camping, some stay in lodges.
